I didn’t realize how long today’s comic was until I posted it.  Lotsa panels.  I know how long this chapters been going, but it ends next Wednesday.  Hooray!  I hope you’ve enjoyed it, I’m personally pleased.

I did a guest comic for the Guest Strip Project benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation.  I think it turned out alright, it’s about police dogs.  Go check the site out, it’s phenomenal what Mike’s been putting together.

Tonight, Shannon, my friend Monica and I are hitting up the midnight screening of Labyrinth!  I am so excited, I adore this film.  Some of you may remember me seeing the midnight screening of The Dark Crystal, so tonight’s activities should compliment well.

I heard that Pushing Daisies was not picked up for another season, which is not surprising, though after this past week’s episode I am somewhat disappointed.  After a season and a half of clever, witty stories we’re finally getting to the crux of the show.  I would be sorely disappointed if we never got to see how Ned’s story ends.  Also, I don’t think Bryan Fuller has had a show pass two seasons.

Only a week till Thanksgiving “vacation.”  I am siked.

I have to say, the most recent episode of Heroes has kind of killed my urge to see more.  I really had high hopes for this season, but seriously, between everyone being related, Sylar becoming good (which I’m hot and cold on) and now Hiro has goddamn AMNESIA!? Are you for serious!?

What made the show good to begin with was that these were normal people who happened to have super powers.  Now it’s only about the fact that they’re super heroes.  I want scenes of Nathan as a senator when they bring up “Hero” rights.  I want to see Parkman having relationship problems with whuss-her-name because she’s “moving too fast.”  It’s like why the Incredibles worked so well - they matched the mundane with the super.  All we’re getting from this show is the super.  Also, one character at a time, please!

We’re seriously attempting to catch up with missed television - we have four episodes of Dexter yet to be watched, the recent True Blood and Desperate Housewives, and some other ones I can’t remember.  There aren’t enough hours in the day!

What a cliffhanger!  Don’t worry, we resolve this come Wednesday.

I did an interview with Xaviar Xerexes over at Comixtalk and he just posted it today!  Hooray!  We talk a bit about the process, where I want to take the comic eventually and even some of my influences.  Overall it was a fun interview.  Sir Xerexes was also quite complimentary about my work, and I really do appreciate that. Overall I had a very good weekend.  Shannon and I caught Role Models, which was pretty good!  We love David Wain (of “The State,” “Wet Hot American Summer” and The Ten” fame) and while the film was pretty conventional, it still had me laughing out loud.

Shannon spent the weekend putting together a new painting series of “young girls holding objects made of balloons” and I love them!  Here’s a sample.

Well the weekend is here.  Hooray!  I would like to say the above story is made up, but unfortunately that is not the case.  They did this right before the main course, the deviants.  It’s a long family tree, let me tell you.

I saw Repo! The Genetic Opera last night, which is supposed to be the next big cult film.  It’s a horror musical, but it’s barely either.  The movie was tame and lame.  Nice try guys.  I’ll be waiting for Repossession Mambo, which has almost the exact same plot but a better cast.  I just hope it has better writers.

It was a great weekend otherwise.  My parents arrived Saturday night and much food has been eaten.  We also caught Changeling, which was a devestating, fantastic film.  Oscar contender fo’ sho’.  We also hit up some great stores in Silverlake Junction and I’m this close to purchasing a button maker.

Cuz y’know.  Why not?

There have been a few updates to the site that I’d like to point your attention to.  First off, I have moved the cast list from the “about” section to a new page to keep things clean.  New biographies, new characters added and it’s much cleaner overall.

Two, I have added more to the Eros Inc. “About the company” section (in the About section) that gives a little back story and some vernacular that should rear its ugly head soon.  Two and a half, I added cool little headers in the “chapters” section.

Three, I have created an Eros Inc. Facebook group!  Please feel free to join it!  I would like to use it as a way to preview art and stuff, but it’s really just another way to connect to you, the reader!  I will also add a link on the right hand side ASAP.
