Doug, Sally and Wallace are the best coworkers ever. It’s so dang true.

Did you guys enjoy the intermission “The Greatest Road Trip of All Time?” I’m printing this chapter and the comic book is now available for preorder! Right now we are swimming in television. We are caught up with True Blood, which has been absolutely insane. I won’t spoil anything, but I like that the villain is more political than last season. Mad Men continues to blow me away, every episode is extremely emotional and wonderful. I can’t wait to see where this season heads. We also started watching this season of Weeds, I swear Justin Kirk is the only reason I keep watching. What are you guys checking out? Anything worth recommending?

Oh, we also got discs of Lost: Season Six from Netflix today. It is pretty good so far, but the “sideways” stories are far more interesting than the straightforward (though convoluted) Island stories.

I’m so sorry about the late comic everyone. I was in the writer’s room at my job until 11pm last night and it’s just been a busy day today in pre-production. Very exciting though and I hope today’s comic was worth it. I figured with the third season I’d do “Opening Credits” a little differently, I hope you like it.

Welcome to Season Three AND comic 300! A lot to celebrate today. It feels great to be back drawing these characters and I hope you liked today’s comic. Long time fans should find some parts familiar.

If you don’t know the song “Clue Fir and the Clues” are playing, it’s Shampoo by Elvis Perkins. Great song by a great artist. I wrote/timed the finale of Season One to his song “While You Were Sleeping.”

And that’s the end of the intermission! I hope you folks enjoyed yourselves, I had a lot of fun with this. I’m not going to start layout to print this chapter, which will come with this entire story plus three pages that won’t be posted on the internet. I think you guys’ll like it. Season three begins Friday!

Last Saturday, I’m was at the the Supermarket Zine Show at Meltdown Comics. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, it was really wonderful meeting a few fans in person. And if you’re a new reader to the comic because of the show, welcome! I met some really awesome people there, including Craig Garrett (and his ladyfriend Amy), who writes Robot Lincoln and Zombie Jackson, an absolutely hysterical comic I couldn’t recommend enough. Seriously, seeing a Steampunk President Lincoln crush the head of a zombie and yell “SCRAMBLED EGGS” made my day. I also met Michael Jasorka, who does Bombshell Comics in Echo Park. Awesome zines and comics, I really dig his style. It’s like a soup’d up “Archie Comics” style, really clean line work and he’s a totally nice guy to boot!

On Sunday, I helped Nan Lawson (y’know, m’ girlfriend) work the Unique OC craft Fair. There, I met Tyson Smith who does Maiden Voyage Clothing, a completely awesome tshirt company. I have three shirts from this guy, his illustrations are awesome and so detailed. You’ll probably see me wearing the crow one a LOT when Quail gets published.

Did you see Scott Pilgrim? I saw Scott Pilgrim! In fact, I LOVED Scott Pilgrim. So much so, I saw it twice! I was, however, pretty disappointed that it didn’t make too much money at the box office. But I have a feeling that the international release, plus eventual DVD/Bluray release will give the movie some more dollah billz.

Guys I am so close to finishing the Quail short story, it’s insane. I have three pages left to ink and then I can start scanning and cleaning up. I am so dang proud of this comic, I can’t wait to show it to you guys.

I’m finishing up the Quail short story, started layout on Quail Sketchbook 1 and I’m working on getting the layout started on The Greatest Road Trip of All Time minicomic. We are so knee deep in Lost it’s pathetic. Midway through season two and no signs of stopping. It’s even more painful because we know NONE OF OUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED

I finished reading both issues of Water Nation by Johane Matte. If you are any kind of Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, it’s worth checking out! Next up: Amulet book 2.

I wish I had more to talk about but I really don’t. I’m going to try to push and get as many pages of this chapter done this weekend so I can actually get ready to print this for you guys. WHAT
