Thanks to everyone for their extremely kind comments about last Friday’s comic.
Two quick things. One, there are still a few limited edition prints left of Mot and Tomas on the scooter! Get ‘m while you can.
And the second: Over the weekend, Clue got a twitter.
We saw a few movies over the weekend. First, we caught Fantastic Mr. Fox. We absolutely loved it but, full disclosure, we adore Wes Anderson films. All of them. And yes, I include “Life Aquatic,” which I find hilarious. But this one ranks pretty high, somewhere between Rushmore and Darjeeling Limited. The film felt like I was watching something built with objects from the Natural History Museum. The textures and models were beautiful; this film is NOT like Coraline, a severely slick piece of animation. But in the errors and roughness, there was something really wonderful. And it was funny. I’m sure most of you would be seeing it anyway, but when it comes out, definitely go see it.
We then had our friends Monica and Michael come over for dinner and Pixar’s Up. A great movie to be sure, it still holds up. Definitely Pixar’s silliest film.
Sunday was a more relaxing day and we rented “Drag Me to Hell.” I’m not really one who digs “scary movies,” so watching this creepy flick wasn’t an all-together enjoyable experience. I recognize it as a quality film and I definitely see the mass appeal of it, but it was just too gross and over the top for me. Keep in mind, I love the Evil Dead movies, which had just the right blend of creepiness and humor (in my opinion). I guess overall it was a little too unsettling for me to “like it.” To each their own.

I still have yet to see UP, I heard it’s amazing though.
Ohhh Tomas, he’s so adorable I could eat him up! I’m definitely loving this chapter!
Oh Tomas…
I too haven’t seen UP yet. I really should though. From what I’ve heard, it sounds up my alley. No pun intended.
I have seen Up, I thought it was brilliant.
