Guest Comic - Brett Muller of

Today’s comic made me laugh out loud, or “LOL” as the kids would say.  This awesome guest comic was brought to you by the very talented Brett Muller, whose comic “The Daily Odyssey” has actually just ended today!  Sad face! You can head over to his site and check out 365 awesome journal comics while he prepares to launch his new comic “Brightleaf.”  Don’t worry, I’ll mention it here when it launches.

I do heartily recommend “The Daily Odyssey” - his comic is unblushingly honest, unafraid to capture those incredibly awkward moments (which he captures with relative ease).  It’s one of my favorite journal comics out there.  I also love that he’ll describe a moment from his life and match it with something fantastical.  In any case, his figures are smooth and exaggerated and coloring seriously fantastic.  I wish I could rock color like he can. So yes, please check out his work.

Brett also takes part in one of my favorite podcasts, Seqalab, a comic podcast done by the students, faculty and alumni of Savannah College of Art and Design (a school I would love to go to).  If you are at all interested in comics (in any way, drawing, reading, etc) you should really be listening to this ‘cast.  They make great comic reading recommendations and are all very talented ladies and gentlemen.

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow, yes TOMORROW because OUR GUEST WEEK CONTINUES.  Awesome writer-friend Eli Selzer takes the reigns and gives a little insight into one Clue Fir. You won’t want to miss it.

And then on Sunday, my girlfriend Nan Lawson has been working on something extra special that I can’t wait to share with you!

AND OUR GUEST WEEK SO FAR:

Monday - Box Brown of Bellen!
Tuesday - Yuko Ota of Johnny Wander
Wednesday - Jamie Baldwin of Sudden Valley
Thursday - Jessie Slipchinsky

This one is very creative! Although in the second panel I think Brett ment, “Gotta find some loser true love…with this: or I won’t make rent this month!” Because that just doesn’t flow properly. Otherwise very funny, who ever would have thought to use Archie (whom I love btw!)

That’s so awesome, definitely an enjoyable and funny read since I was just reading Archie comics last night.
