Don’t forget, we’re in the past you guys. You may remember Morrigan from a few different encounters. Just keep in mind those moments haven’t happened yet.
Another warm welcome to new readers! We’ve just started up Chapter Nine, so you haven’t really missed much from this specific storyline, but each arc builds on the one before it (and Chapter Nine is technically part two of Chapter eight), so I’d recommend either starting at the beginning of the comic (apologies for my art) or at the beginning of Chapter eight.
Thanks to everyone who commented on the new inking. I think I mentioned this on Friday, but I bought these new brushpens that I’ve been loving. Cleaner lines and less cleanup in Photoshop make me happy.
The weekend was pretty solid. We caught Star Trek Friday night (which apparently, everyone had already seen Thursday night, seeing as our theater was not as packed as we were expecting. The movie was really great, a fun experience that had very few detractors. I am so unfamiliar with Star Trek except for the obvious things that have been referenced in other movies (see: “Dammit, Jim, I’m a Doctor,” “Energize” etc etc) and seeing those little moments made me smile. They even had “Ensign Ricky” who never made it back to the ship. All in all, if you haven’t seen the movie, do so.
We also went up to Malibu to hit up the beach and did some spring cleaning. More importantly, we finally finished the series of Battlestar Galactica. I’ll keep it spoiler-free, but if you want to be 100% surprised, I’d stop reading here.
I thought the finale was a little more abstract, but the more I think about it, the more I glean details that made it a fitting end. I wish there was more character stuff (Kara Thrace anyone?) and everything wasn’t tied together in a tight little package, but it still doesn’t change the fact that I believe this was one of the best series put on television. I stand by that.
See you on Wednesday!

Cool, the inks do look much nicer. Love the comic, wicked sense of humour!
@Rembrand thanks a lot man, I’m glad you’re diggin’ the inks. I’m happy with the change as well.
