What a weekend! My cover for Comixtalk was posted on Saturday! You can find that over here. Thanks again to Xaviar Xerxes for letting me do the cover and saying some nice things about my work.
For you new readers that have been gracing my pages lately – welcome! I hope you find your stay comfortable. We’ve passed the half-way point for this storyline and if today’s comic tickles your fancy, I’d recommend starting at the beginning of the chapter or the beginning of this comic series. You’ll probably have a better understanding of what’s up. You’ll thank me later.
It was a great weekend otherwise. My parents arrived Saturday night and much food has been eaten. We also caught Changeling, which was a devestating, fantastic film. Oscar contender fo’ sho’. We also hit up some great stores in Silverlake Junction and I’m this close to purchasing a button maker.
Cuz y’know. Why not?

Only God can save them now…
Yom Kippur services… I feel they are the LONGEST and the MOST dreadful to go to. It’s the ONLY holiday thats all “you sin sooo much!” and right after going to Rosh Hanhanah and being told how awesome you are.
@John which I find incredibly ironic…
@Jamie I agree. It’s really depressing. There’s a reason why there’s confession, you get to spread out the sins instead of waiting until the last possible moment to atone. I love Kol Nidre though. Such haunting music.
All I can say is, Mrs S had better be prepared to feed these guys after services, or they might try to eat HER! Yom Kippur is not something to be taken lightly, nor for the unenlightened to endure on an empty stomach… Fasting does no good when your tummy rumbles disrupt the whole congregation!
I have not yet fasted all the way through Yom Kippur – thank god for the days of youth!
I love hearing my southern friend call it ‘yam kipper’ though.
And I really wish the 3-4 hour thing was a joke.
Because it always feels that long.
